Not so fast Danica Part 2

The list is very impressive but it also includes names like Ken SchraderRicky RuddKyle PettyMike SkinnerDavid GillilandJeff Green, and Loy Allen, Jr. all of whom NEVER won a Daytona 500 and in some cases won a NASCAR Grand National (Sprint Car) Race. LoyAllen

Danica Patrick likens career, scrutiny to Tim Tebow’s – USATODAY.com.

Is she nuts? Yes Tebow was and is a Championship winning Quarterback. While at Florida he won 2 Nation Championships and the Heisman.  Now he was a #1 draft pick in 2010 but hadn’t lived up to it and he was basically about to be out of football at the start of this season.  Now he got lucky in that the Denver Broncos original starter played so poorly that he was given a 2nd chance and he was given free regin to play the way he did in College and they started winning eventually won there division and there 1st playoff game in many years.  His story get even more amazing when you realize he was HOMESCHOOLED by his mother and never attended High School. Danica is High School drop out and so far not won anything other than single race.

More drivers that better than…….

Kyle Busch

Danica Patrick. Well NASCAR is were the money is and what could be worst comments of all time that’s were he heart is according to her. Now here she comes with her 1 career win into field that filled with great drivers none that afraid of putting your ass in the wall. Have a goodtime. Here is a list

1. Kyle Busch

102 wins. He races in all of NASCAR series that matter and wins in all of them. He is brash and crass, but he’s earned the right to be. While he has never won a championship, I’d think he’d say who gives a fuck.

2.  Jeff Gordon

84 wins. 84 wins in “Grand National” or what is now known as Sprint Cup. He is tied with Darrell Waltrip and Bobby Allison for 3rd place in history of NASCAR behind David Pearson (105) and Richard Petty(200). He is also the prototype of the modern race driver very media savy he hosted Saturday Night Live and Regis and Kelly, very similar to DP, but unlike he gets the job done on Sundays. Also has 5 NASCAR Championships

3. Tony Stewart

54 wins. Here is a break down of that number: 39 Cup, 10 Sportsman (Nationwide), 2 Truck and 3 IndyCar. His idol growing up was A.J.  Foyt and as a result his car carries the number 14 (Foyt’s) He had run the Indianapolis 500 5 times, with the best result of 5th in 2001, although he did start on the pole in 1996 due to the death of Scott Brayton. He like Jeff Gordon got his start in USAC and is the only driver to win championships in there 3 top divisions in the same year. He may gone down in history as the last of the successful open wheel to stock car drivers but has really driven a open wheel car in 10 years.

4. Juan Pablo Montoya

20 wins. Winner Indianapolis 500, Monaco Grand Prix and 2 Cup wins. He’s kinda of a odd ball here cause he has raced in so many series so you can’t really call him NASCAR driver. He was groomed to be the next great Formula One driver but Williams could find finding so ended up in CART were he won the Championship as a rookie and the next year the 500 in his 1st attempt. Williams found funding, but it lasted a year then was signed by McLaren. After winning 7 races in F1 but not getting along with the team he was resigned by Chip Ganassi his original IndyCar owner to go NASCAR racing in 2007 were he has 3 wins.

5. Jimmie Johnson

55 wins. All but 1 in Cup, 5 season championships, Athlete of the Year in 2009. Got his start in Off Road Racing and was discovered by Jeff Gordon. Always manages to bring his car home in one piece.

6. John Andretti

5 wins. 2 in Cup, along with 24 hours of Daytona in a Porsche 962, IndyCar. Uncle is Mario. Qualified in Top Fuel car in a NHRA National event. One of the last of the ‘Old School’ of race car drivers raced everything.

7. Kurt Busch

30 wins. 23 Cup and a Championship. Was the 1st Busch in cup. Got his start as replacement for Dick Trickle’s murdered nephew in short track racing. Got his big break winning Roush Racing‘s ‘Gong Show’ He along with his brother have both been arrested by Police

8.   Kevin Harvick

64 wins. 17 cup, 37 Sportsman and 12 truck. He has the unfortunate title of  being the driver to replace Dale Ernhardt. He has won, but no championships.

9. Mark Martin

96 wins. 49 Sportsman, 40 cup and 7 truck. The Old Man of the Series, started in 1981, but didn’t get his 1st win until 1989 with Roush with whom he would get most wins. retired but comeback.

10. Dale Ernhardht Jr.

41 wins. 18 Cup 23 Sportsman. Some consider him a failure,  cause he hasn’t won as much since leaving his mother’s team, but he has won.

If could of added driver such as Kenny Wallace, David Regan, Trevor Boyce, Brad Koswasaki, Bill Elliott, Bobby LaBonte, and the ultimate ride buyer Paul Menard.

Excuse me but can I get a ride: #Indy500

You can imagine Dan Wheldon making phone calls and uttering these words before today. At the end of last season he walked away from his ride with Panther Racing and found part-time with former teammates Brain Herta’s new team, but that ended with the Indianapolis 500. You’d think a driver with 16 career wins including 2 in the 500, but there are no takers as we speak.

This years 500 might go down as one of the more memorable ones. Coming into the month Chip Gannasi and Roger Penske looked to fight it out for the win, but something strange happened . With the current car about to be phased out and most teams not having money to run the full season, most put there best effort into there 500 cars and the results showed. Of the top speeds in practice and qualifying most were single car teams. Yet Gannasi’s team had been at the top of most sessions and indeed lead the most laps in the race, but they had save fuel towards the end and in the last 36 laps lead to 8 different leaders, none of those were Wheldon whom wouldn’t lead a lap until the 4th turn of the final lap of the race.

This years 500 marks the end of era, as the the teams will get new cars and engines in 2012. It also thankful may mark the end of the Danica Patrick era, as ESPN so breathlessly reported while not covering any of the practice or qualifying. It’s interesting to note that her team owned by Micheal Andretti half assed it again and failed to get 2 of the 4 teams into the race, they brought a ride from A.J. Foyt, and everyone was pleased by that (not)

I’m not a cunt, I just act like one

Well Danica Patrick said today she wasn’t committed to returning to IndyCar Series next year. I’m sure it’s a money grab by her and “people” but would it hurt the series? The answer is no, because most of her success has been off the track not on it and most of her fans, haven’t been supportive of the series. Since she started, she hasn’t exactly been boon for ratings or attendance. So what are her options? She go to NASCAR, but she has not had any success there and unless she is going too bring a huge sponsorship deal none of the top teams will have her. Formula One, same issue, ALMS nope, NHRA is possibly. ESPN? Well why not- she’s veteran race car driver that’s media savvy and would be a great addition to their sable, but she would have leave the drivers seat. More than likely she stay in IndyCar with her current team unless she get a better offer from another team but that’s not very likely since there only 2 other teams that could pay her more than what currently making but she’s not the quality of driver there looking for.

Enough already

ESPN http://blogs.seattleweekly.com/dailyweekly/2010/12/espn_sucks_and_other_lessons_f.php , is that enough? I mean were to start? The University of Connecticut’ s women basketball team got more coverage than Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski whom is about to become the all-time winningest college basketball coach along the way to win another title. Most of the women will not reach the WNBA, itself a minor league. I get tried of being total how great they are when the reality is they could beat a good high school boys team. The next is Lebron James and his butt buddies at ESPN  have nothing hype each other. I was the least surprising move that he would leave Cleveland for Miami, but for ESPN to allow itself used by the Lebron James PR machine by bring in Jim Grey as his own personal reporter to make the announcement in prime time that Nike had purchased was unimaginable. Jimmy Johnson is not best driver in NASCAR, Kyle Busch is. What JJ is go at is points racing, taking chances trying to win races.  In fact he’s part of the reason the rating are down. Danica Patrick is one the worst drivers in Indy car racing but has the ego of someone like Kyle Busch. Gay marriage, most gays are white upperwardly mobile yuppies. For them to act as if there some oppressed minority group is laughable, but they have money and that equals power.
